Langsmead Hall

Smart, level-headed Alice Ainsley is at a crossroads. Having quit her job and her going-nowhere boyfriend, she’s not entirely sure what direction life should take next – she only knows it needs to be very different. A brief stopover to Langsmead Hall, a country hotel run by her close friend Kate, provides the perfect bolthole to contemplate her next move.
The visit ends up being a summer-long stay, during which strong bonds develop between Alice, Kate’s boyfriend Julian and his niece and nephew – bonds that will have lasting repercussions on all their lives.
But there is another presence at Lansgmead, a tragic one with whom Alice’s life soon becomes deeply embroiled…
