An author said to me once and this has stuck with me to this very day.
"Only you can make the decision to publish your work. If you don't have confidence in yourself, nobody else will."
 
Why I Wrote This Book:
When I started to write I was just like you, excited and dreaming about the time I would be a great author and make mountains of money.
My problem was I didn’t have a staring place. I had never met an author in my life. I didn’t have any networking connections made and I was at a complete loss as to what my first step should be.
This book, Writers- How To Publish Free, gives all writers a chance to publish their writing either electronically or by self-publishing or both for FREE.
I started teaching a class called E-Book Formatting. After teaching this class several times I decided to write this book. My students keep teaching me I never stop learning.
Nothing makes me prouder then when a student says, “The money is coming in on the sale of my books and I am writing and publishing more and more books.
 
The Time Of The Writer
The time of the writer has truly come. In the past you had to have an agent to sell your manuscript to a publishing company.
Being an author is a special feeling in which your self-esteem will soar and you will find yourself smiling from the inside out.
Being a self-published author you need a marketing plan. Some books fit into the category of being easier to market than others. It’s a hard road to walk down.
When your book is self-published it will not automatically be placed in a bookstore for sale. The reason for this is shelf space. The publisher pays for shelf space in the bookstores for their authors.

The book stores carry about 70% of the usual books that most books stores constantly stock. Then there is the new author book’s 30% from the publishing company which does not leave room for the self-publishers books.
Not being able to get your book automatically into bookstores when you self-publish is a hard problem to face. There are other places to sell your books on www.amazon.com and www.barnesandnoble.com. There are other websites but these are the largest.
When you finish this book you will have had a course in Microsoft Word.
Another website is www.smashwords.com but the formatting for this website is not in this book.
 
Trust In Yourself
Trust in yourself. When you start showing your manuscript to other people for their opinion, you will be overwhelmed. But you are the author and you make the final decision.
Once the manuscript is written a decision needs to be made.
What am I going to do with it?
Does it sit in my computer until it crashes?
