Across the Doubtful Sea

Across the Doubtful Sea is an adventure/fantasy novel set in the South Pacific in an alternative 18th century. Its heroes include a Polynesian warrior-priestess and members of the French and British Royal Navies. Its main villains are the Atuk, a mysterious people who live at the center of Terra Australis, an imaginary continent where our Antarctica lies. They worship a dreadful god, Atutlaluk, whose chief servants can use the elements of winter as weapons.
