Description
These easy to read flashcards are designed for violin students who are first learning how to read music. As a book, the note name flashcards can be carried and studied in the car, while in a waiting room, on the bus, and just generally out and about without the worry of loosing cards or annoying sounds from apps.
The pitches covered by the flashcards are--
E string: E, F#, G, G#, A, B
A string: A, B, C, C#, D
D string: D, E, F#, G
G string: G, A, B, C
There are 19 cards total, but are presented in different ways:
The first section of this book is Note, Name, and Position Cards. Each card has a picture of the note on the staff, the letter name below the staff, and the fingering for the note. Following is a s ection called Note Quiz Order. First is a note pictured on the staff. Guess the name of the note and fingering. Then, turn the page to see if you were right. You will find the note name and fingering on the next page with a blank staff. The third section of this book is Notes Only. These cards have only the staff with one note on them. Say the letter name of the note aloud. Finally, in the fourth section, are Blank Staff Note Names. These have a blank staff with the note name and violin fingering typed below. With these, you can point to the line or space where the note should be placed with a finger or eraser end of a pencil.
