Erzates - F7: Part 2 of 2

In the year 2525, Major Robert Quinn has been tasked to take a space freighter to Nigel-7. Primarily a geologist, he has been tasked to lead a surveying team to determine the viability of the third and most hospitable moons of Kalapimose. While there aren’t any Slagers yet installed, the Noah Environmental Generator facility has been operating for over seven years. There is also a significant contingent of Assault Kämphers based there, mainly to keep the indigenous population in-line. Some soldiers refer to them as simply natives, while others derisively refer to them as Matogs. However, there is a separate class of natives, referred to as Palofenitians or ‘Familiars’.

Mistakenly, Quinn has decided to bring his fiancée and daughter along on this assignment. He is soon forced to not only keep his unit of specialists together, but also locate his missing ‘Erzates’, or ersatzes. Hindering his search is Colonel Hedgecock’s group of Surface Patrolmen, because of their own special interests.
