The Battle for Crete

This is the true story of the battle for Crete during 1941 at the height of World War II. Woven into this complex and amazing act in modern history is a little known fact about how close the Germans came to learning of our breaking of the Enigma code but principally it details the acts of bravery by a small group of New Zealand soldiers and local resistance fighters in aiding the escape of the King under the onslaught of the German invasion.
