Power-Up Using Excel VBA Sorts and Searches is an intermediate to advanced text on creating the fastest possible sorts and searches of large Excel tables and ranges using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA). An application is included that illustrates nine search techniques along with the most popular sorting method, each one described in detail and illustrated with working code examples. In particular, the Worksheet.Sort method is highlighted, along with the various options of the VLookup, Match and Range.Find commands. All the important options of those commands are explored, including a summary of the pros and cons. To my knowledge, there hasn't been a book published yet that illuminates the comparative times of these search methods along with recommendations on when they are the most appropriate options to deploy in professional Excel VBA applications.
