First of all, I know what I am talking about. I was a smoker for 39 years from the age of 12, and I can honestly say that I wished I had never started smoking at all. Despite the odd time when I got some perceived relief or comfort from a cigarette, being a smoker was miserable in the extreme!
Before anyone uses my length of smoking without apparent harm to me, as an argument not to quit, I can tell you now that I feel I dodged a bullet! I was lucky - so far. What I will attempt to do in this eBook is to make you want to decide give up for your own reasons. Those reasons could be for health reasons, for your children’s sake, for financial reasons, or for social reasons.
Strength of will is important in giving up. You have to want to give up and stick with it.
By the way, at the same time that I gave up smoking, I gave up alcohol completely. I realized that I was giving in to another habit and one that was truly addictive. You are stronger willed than you think.
