Description

The misconception with natural, afro-textured, hair is that it’s thick, bodacious and strong but there are many of us out there who have a different story to tell. Our hair wants to hang instead of readily standing at attention in a glorious, BAA (bad ass afro). It needs coaxing into that. The individual hair strands are fine and fragile and our hair overall has medium or low density. Most hair icons highlighted on our favorite blogs and so many of our favorite natural hair bloggers and vloggers have thick and voluminous hair. Certain styles they rock the mess out of look a little different on or just don’t flatter us fine, medium-low density, highly textured hair ladies sans some slight modifications and this can be frustrating and discouraging if we don’t know the modifications that can be made.

I want to share what I’ve learned all in one place instead of you having to scrounge around blogs and videos for info crumbs here and there. This booklet is intended to be a helpful guide to encourage learning what you’ve got, making peace with it and having pride in it. You can use the tips verbatim or you can tailor and modify them to your hair’s needs; make them your own. I am not trying to sell you anything and this publication isn’t sponsored by businesses. My goal wasn’t to push products as the solution but to emphasize the importance of being aware of your hair’s characteristics and properties and how proper handling of it can give you results.
