Merteuil: Sequel to Dangerous Liaisons

After being jeered at the opera by le tout Paris because of her mishandling of a plot intended to ruin a young convent girl along with her former ex-lover, the deceased Vicomte Sébastian de Valmont, the Marquise Isabelle de Merteuil decides to spend a period of 5 years in a convent in order to atone for her sins. Upon her return to Paris, she sets about winning back her social status by teaming up with Monsignor Declos, an ambitious Bishop who wants to become the cardinal of Paris.
