Description

It takes a great deal of fortitude to read a book like this. Especially if you find that you don't agree with every conversation.

Who is to blame for the issues in the black community today?

We have had all kinds of aide and government assistance, so how can we still be at the bottom academically and economically?

Why doesn't anything work for us?

Why is our reputation so bad, and why are black people the only victims of this discrimination we're always talking about?

Our leaders have no grasp on the truth, and no intention to change the status quo. The very few who seem to have an inkling of what needs to be done, are quite visibly fearful of how the truth will be perceived.

Effectively, our leaders perpetuate our problems.

They do it quite successfully, and to their own benefit. There is no entity out there that will finance our so-called leaders, if they were to suddenly start telling the truth about black people and education.

Community and political leaders have to lie to us in order to keep the corporate dollars rolling in.

We need leaders that can look within the community, in order to identify and solve our issues, and can effectively speak truth to the people.

We need to stop looking for money and help, and instead become excellent, completely educated people. The time for allowing ourselves to be mediocre and subpar, is over.

Black and poor people need to stand up and take control/responsibility for our own selves.

Demanding jobs is currently our primary means of seeking to improve our situation.

Instead we need to demand full education for each and every child… full education forced upon every child.

What are we doing wrong and how can we change?

We will never get around to talking about and solving our race issues in the United States, if we aren't honest in identifying the problem.

Read it here. Discuss it with others.
