The Start of British Rule in India

This short read tells the story of the beginning of the British Rule in South Asia in general and in India in particular. It marks the rise of the British East India Company, the decline of the other East India Companies, the policies undertaken by the British company in order to win over India and the ultimate end of the company in the later half of the 19th century.
