Description
For Twenty years William Dennis lived on the streets of Dallas trying to survive the rigors of homelessness until one day a young girl named Maria appeared to him in a chapel and changed his life. It was through a gift of a medal of the Madonna holding Christ in her arms that began to change his life taking him in directions he had never thought possible. Whether a miracle or just coincidence would be revealed to him at an unforeseen gathering one day years later. This is a fictional story of the life of a homeless man and his journey to find God. The inspiration for this story came after spending three days and two nights at a homeless simulation in south Dallas, having slept on a cardboard box and having walked with and talked with numerous homeless men and women who live on the streets and under the underpasses. I can in no way ever walk in their shoes but I have been given a special grace to see them as they live. It was a life changer for me and I wanted to share how I saw their lives so that others may come to know their plight, but I wanted also to be able to touch the heart of William, my homeless man, and bring him to know God. So this is his story.
