Tom Morrow : Finding The Book
Description
Synopsis
Tom Morrow was born to parents who by prior agreement returned to the otherworld known as The Land of The Waterfall shortly after he was born; his mother on the day of his birth and his father on the day he attained the age of seven years, the day he found The Book. Tom has a mental age and understanding of a much older person because of his Quest. His Aunt B who had awaited his arrival for centuries took over from his parents. She would guide and mentor him in his search for a Sacred Sword and Chalice. The Book would control each part of his journey and no one but he could read or understand it.
Tom would start his journey at The Old Island Monastery where he would be tutored by monks. All seemed to be carefully planned and set out for him until he first encounters The Abbess Mariah who is driven by jealousy, power and greed. She can control the elements and whip up the most fearful storms at will, known as Mariah's Wind. The Abbess Mariah would thwart his every move to find the Sword and Chalice first because of the power they hold. Secondly he meets Katie Power and her family who live on the island. Katie is only seven years old and, like Tom, has powers and insights of her own. She is miles ahead of everyone else and upon meeting Tom she latches on for she has decided Tom is for her when they are older. She becomes the bain of his life or a right pain.
Guided by The Book, Tom will travel through many portals of time. It will become unavoidable to meet himself in other lifetimes but Tom will only be aware of a feeling of familiarity. These occurrences will be known as Overlaps. He will meet other mentors and guides known as Constants to help him on his long journey which will take him through lost worlds, time warps and eventually into outer space. He will suffer betrayal from trusted ones but his final battle will be with someone who becomes an arch enemy. The enemy is actually himself in an Overlap. Who will win? The good Tom or the bad Tom for he was not good in one past lifetime. The Masters are affording him the opportunity to put this right.
