📖 Description
Are you struggling with learning your materia medica? If so then this book gives you the facility to self-test yourself in order to help consolidate the material you are learning. It is specifically written as a self-learning adjunct for most homeopathy courses, from diplomas and licentiates through to degree level. It draws on information held in all the main materia medica textbooks used by colleges and institutions.
Within this book you will find over 900 questions and answers about materia medica covering 178 remedies derived from plants, animals, elements, minerals & metals, acids, nosodes and bowel nosodes. Each chapter covers a different group of remedies and within each chapter remedies are arranged alphabetically, so it is easy to navigate your way around the book. The first half of the book covers all the questions and the second half of the book gives you all the answers, in many cases extra information is given to explain the answer where relevant.
The book is also aimed at the qualified practitioner to enable them to keep their knowledge fresh.
"I'm sure this series will be most helpful to the students and I'll be sure to recommend them. I think the Materia Medica book will be helpful for review for those graduates who are taking the CHC certification exam in the spring. " Tina Quirk, Academic Dean, Centre for Homeopathic Education, New York City (CHENYC).
About the Author: Neil's career began in scientific research and he has a PhD in medical parasitology. After a career change he studied at the College of Homeopathy, London where he graduated with a distinction in all of his case studies. He has since spent many years in both clinical practice and education. Over the last 25 years he has lectured in a wide variety of capacities from diploma and licentiate level through to degree level and has been a Senior Lecturer and Module Leader - it is this experience that has allowed him to understand where students struggle with these very factually based aspects of courses. In 2014 his contribution to homeopathic education in particular was recognised when he was conferred with a Fellowship of the Society of Homeopaths.
