While the nation's army is often rightly blamed for promoting radical Islamists, successive civilian governments have failed to reverse the policies of the army or protect the Pakistani citizens from unabated violence "Pakistan: A Broke Democracy" is a collection of articles by journalist Malik Siraj Akbar, a 2014-15 Edward Mason Fellow at Harvard University's John F.
