Description
Stories from the Third World – ‘Real Life and Loves’ take over from where Tainted Village Rose and Maricris Journey Series left off.
These new books are stand alone issues based around my village and those living here with interesting stories to share. Real girls that may speak a different language but just like you, they live, want and need to be loved. Short, interesting, culture relevant hopes and dreams. Sometimes of an adult nature - caught up in the turmoil and emotion of lust and desire. If easily offended, please do not continue reading. Girls here in the third world have different priorities and options available to them. If you are an open minded girl from a Western country, please read about my wonderful friends and most amazing homeland and leave a comment on Amazon so others know what to expect.
…by the time I got to college three years ago, the teasing had stopped. Instead, the people I met would ask me what happened to my eye, squirming upon seeing it up close, or they would avoid me altogether. Needless to say, the boys gave one look in my direction and never a second. Never mind that I had an excellent figure, perfect teeth or hair that was naturally smooth. Never mind that I was smart. Really smart. One look at me and my lazy eye and I could see them all shaking their heads. I could almost hear them say, “No, she won’t do at all.â€
For that reason, I was afraid that meeting Richard face to face for the first time wouldn’t go down well. Sure, he had seen pictures of me but in them, I had always worn sunglasses. Even today, I was going to be wearing sunglasses and a part of me didn’t want to take them off, but I knew I had to. I had to be honest with him and, unfortunately, he had to be frank with me…
It was going to be the moment of truth…
Hold your breath for a beautiful girl with a great big heart that lives in a country where a person with the slightest defect is considered ugly. Who can be played with and teased but not looked upon as a girl to marry.
Will she find a heart and a man that can see past one bad eye to catch her lonely tears?
