The boy in the lilac dress – Ken gets talked in to entering the high school annual fundraiser, a womanless pageant. With an approving mother and a caring friend he finds himself living a dream he hadn’t realized he wanted. As a girl she finds herself and embarks on a sometimes bumpy road but one that offers so many rewards she never wants to be a boy again.
