Terror Beset

Marine journalist Paul Johnson is flying to Japan via the North Polar route.
When sees an old sailiong ship trapped in the ice. His natural curiosity is aroused and he sets out to find learn her history. She is HMS Terror, one of the two ships sent to seek the North west passage under the command of Sir John Franklyn in 1845. Both shiops and their crews were lost without trace and the govenrment of the day offered a 10,000 reward for inforamtion.
An early thaw causes a disaster and leaves him and four companions trapped on the ice. We follow their struggle for survival as they discover the secrets of the ship while Pauls boss keeps the story in the public eye with a series of articles charting the rescue efforts.
