Description

At the time the first edition of this book was first written and published, I was unaware of “The Pares Space Warp Drive Motor,” and I wrote about employing Time Dilation by approaching light speed as the method of achieving interstellar space flight. The concept of Time Dilation (time slowing down) by approaching light speed is fundamental to modern physics, and has been experimentally confirmed (for subatomic particles). However it requires a fission atomic reactor (of the type that generates high pressure steam to propel atomic submarines), and large amounts of water propellant, in order to accelerate to and decelerate from near light speed. It also requires at least three months time each way, for acceleration and deceleration. Previously I had believed these difficulties were unavoidable, but The Pares Space Warp Drive Motor completely eliminates them.

The new Pares Space Warp Drive Motor method of propulsion employs an electrical energy produced space warp, so no propellant is required, and appreciable acceleration and deceleration times are also not required. The concept that space could be warped as a method of propulsion, was first published by theoretical physicist Miguel Alcubierre in 1994, and the concept has been generally accepted as valid by the scientific community.

Professor David Pares investigated and studied in depth electromagnetic phenomena in thunderstorms, with special attention to their producing aircraft linear displacements, and after years of intensive study and experiment he developed a practical method of warping space, and constructed a small-scale working model. The model performed reliably for many observers, with all results as predicted by theoretical expectations.

With this new Pares Space Warp Drive Motor propulsion method, space and the object within it relocates. This relocation of space is not actual object movement, and so it is not limited by the physics of Relativity. Unlike as with Relativity there is no theoretical limit to the apparent velocity with which the space warp can relocate an object. Then in theory even very distant stars become accessible, and the Earth type worlds very probably orbiting some of them become available for colonization.

Due to the Pares Space Warp Drive Motor’s promise for interstellar space flight, I have rewritten Interstellar Space Flight Is Not So Difficult to include detailed information regarding this promising new development. The Expanded New Edition tells how inventor Professor David Pares came to invent and construct The Pares Space Warp Drive Motor, it presents the theory of the space warp drive’s operation, how it is constructed, where The Pares Space Warp Drive Motor project is now, and what it may well mean for the future of humanity.

It happens that Professor Pares and I both live in Omaha, Nebraska USA. Professor Pares is an extremely intelligent, highly learned and very ethical man. If you are not a theoretical physicist his work may be difficult to understand, but assuming it fulfills its promise, which I have reason to believe it will, then it is perhaps the greatest discovery made since fire, because it makes possible the colonization of new, Earth type worlds in very large numbers. There are an estimated 500 billion suns in our galaxy, termed the Milky Way, and no doubt some of them in addition to our sun are orbited by Earth type worlds. And there are very many other galaxies.

I have no financial interest in or related to The Pares Space Warp Drive Motor. I wrote this New Expanded Edition about it due to the the great promise it presents regarding Interstellar flight, and colonizing new Earth type worlds.

If you are interested in Interstellar space flight, exploring new worlds, and colonizing new Earth type worlds, you will enjoy reading this book. Thank you for your interest, it is appreciated.

Phillip Duke Ph.D.
