But then things take a bizarre turn. On Emma's third anniversary of working for The Marcena Organization, just before Benozzo leaves for a one-month trip to Brazil, he jokingly asks Emma to marry him on his return from Rio di Janeiro. Going along with the joke, Emma accepts his proposal. And that's when all heck breaks loose. As Benozzo keeps up the pretence of wanting to marry her, Emma's friends take the joke seriously. And to Emma's shock, Benozzo wholeheartedly keeps up the pretence -- until Emma doesn't know what's real and what's fantasy. But surely Benozzo must be kidding.
