Modern Politikos

This was my first real attempt at any kind of passionate writing. It is a small project I completed many years ago. A short glance at the mind of a young and angry environmentalist, living in and around the destruction, desecration, and degradation not just of the ecological world but of the people around him. An expression of love, hate, and hopelessness, however brief in action but permanent in impact such things may be. It is out of numbness and desperation that we try new things to get what we feel is right. Often these are exercises in futility, and the young man in these pages is no exception to this tendency.

This story is short, as a short story had ought to be. It is approximately 3600 words, and perhaps a 15 minute read. Please take that into consideration prior to your purchase.
