The War of 1812

From 1812 through 1814, the United States of America fought a second war against Great Britain. The "War of 1812" remains likely America's most obscure declared war, not merely because of its relatively modest scale, but also because the Americans didn't do all that well. In the end, the USA was lucky to escape a disastrous defeat, the result being on the balance a draw. This document provides a history of the War of 1812.
