Exit Here, the adventure story, takes us into an unknown and breathtaking world in which it becomes evident how the power of wishes and bonds remains active from life to life. Yuri Sokolov is the hero. He is fearless, strong and loyal – a multi-decorated anti-terrorism and hostage-rescue expert, a Special Forces commander.
In a St. Petersburg saturated with the trappings of modernity, starving to assimilate its Western model, Sokolov spends a few hours with his men, all in transit to an international anti-terrorist conference in Scotland. Gathered in an apartment, a strain from the Beatles’ Strawberry Fields “ . . . nothing is real drifts between their words. In an instant, the serenity is broken. Sokolov gets word through military channels that 250 local children are held hostage with 6 teachers at a school. Their actions are swift and decisive as they overwhelm the terrorists and free the hostages. Sokolov cannot get an image out of his head, a picture placed in his left hand by the school’s headmistress. It shows a western European who is said to be a perennial protector. Sokolov does not know it yet, but he will eventually cross paths with the man in the photograph....
