Continue the military dark fantasy series Friends of my Enemy with War in the Streets, Part 5 of Stories from the War.

Pilot Jared Vries crash lands his plane on the edge of the front line with only one town and a handful of Guard soldiers between him and the FLF. An airman caught in a losing ground battle, Jared survives thanks to Officer Derrick Eldridge, whose skills kept him alive during months of front line fighting. They are abilities that Jared quickly learns to emulate, especially when the order comes to hold the town despite scant weapons and few soldiers.

It is the fall of 2060 and Europe hasn’t won any battles against her new enemy, the FLF. No country in the world has. The time has come to change that.

Set in Europe, this series unfolds through the intersecting lives of a small handful of people and explores adult themes, both dark and hopeful, of friendship, romance, and family, including how these influences direct everyday choices, which ripple outwards to impact governments on the verge of war. Because not all influence is good, and not all decisions can be made in time.
