📖 Description
Gondolend: painstakingly detailed, naturalistic science fiction world-building with a dinosaurian twist.
Something strange is happening in the Democratic Republic of Samaraland. Wild animals and livestock are turning up dead, and all signs are pointing to something no one's ever seen before. Dedicated and reckless amateur zoologist Gina Herodias takes it upon herself to document the strange new predators in the name of science, but is she headed for immortality in the annals of scientific literature, or has she finally bitten off more than she can chew?
This is the plot of Hunting Ground, the novella that makes up the bulk of Hunting Ground and Other Stories. Through it and other short stories and vignettes, this anthology offers readers a tantalizing glimpse into the world of Gondolend, a vast, richly detailed setting where two moons shine in the night sky, where the sun rises in the west and sets in the east, and where man and dinosaur coexist.
Written using the very latest knowledge in paleontological science, Gondolend features some the most accurate representations of dinosaurs in fiction today and has been recognized for years as a stellar example of its genre.
