The Door Into Time (Adventures in Time Book 1)

When a seven foot stranger steals their dog right out of their backyard, Reece and Sean immediately give chase. The children race in hot pursuit down a path behind their home, but their initial determination is blunted when the dognapper makes a turn into the dense woods. Now, he is completely out of sight. So, they tippy-toe along, but are soon drawn to strange lights blinking through the leaves. As they edge forward, they see the giant, his hands flitting over an enormous control panel inside a dome-shaped structure…with Bear lying behind him. Well, the Professor, for that’s what he calls himself, is thoroughly exasperated when they find him and orders them to leave immediately, before the “door” closes behind them. Unfortunately, enough time passes during the argument that the door does close. Now, sister, brother and dog are trapped, and the Professor is stuck with them. Not to worry, because the children have every intention of running home with their dog as soon as that door opens again. When it finally does, they find they are still in the same woods, but, something is different. They’re in a different time! Ultimately, the Professor, his miniature robot, ANNA, and Bear end up in a locked room in the village. And, now it’s up to Reece and Sean to somehow find the key to the room, rescue everyone and make a mad dash for home! What they don’t know is that the Professor’s navigational equipment is faulty, and they can’t get home…not until yet another incredible adventure unfolds.
