In this black satire 'chav' lottery winner AJ arrives in a secluded suburban close and upsets the fragile balance between his five new neighbours. From the initially friendly religious family to the downright hostile retired Major, AJ faces a battle that he takes up with a will. Ambitious Kathi, 'artist' Ralph and rich layabout Jack make up the other residents in this backward corner of little England.
Prejudices fly and tempers fly further with bellyaching hilarity mixed with a tender poignancy as relationships ebb and flow. Even the pets get in on the act as AJ's enormous and very illegal hound Vieira and the Major's terrier, Betsy, get their teeth into the action; eagerly, hopefully and always disastrously!
