About the author
Andy has worked in the Information Technology business for over 25 years. In 1988, he joined the US networking and software company, 3Com, as a system engineer. He was responsible for assisting with the launch of their Microsoft® LAN Manager-based network operating system, 3+Open.
Since then, Andy has focused on Microsoft-based software and technologies. He is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, a Microsoft Certified Trainer, and a CompTIA CTT+ trainer. He has taught hundreds of classes to thousands of students over the years. In the last decade, Andy has been involved in designing and developing courseware for Microsoft Learning in Redmond.
Aside from technology, Andy has a great interest in military history and has written four novels about the First World War.
He lives in rural Somerset in the UK with his wife and daughter.
