Understanding of Finite State Machine

This book gives an introduction to Finite State Machine. A general state machine consists of a combination logic section and a memory section. Usually, we put flip-flops as memory section.There are two types of state machine. Moore state machine and Mealy state machine. In the Moore type machine, the outputs depend only on current states. In the Mealy type machine, the outputs are determined by both the internal state and input, but the inputs are not synchronized with the circuit. The information stored in the memory section in state machine. In this book, we most likely focus on hardware to design and analyze Finite State Machine.
