The Running of the Hos was a monthly tradition at Bobbey’s that started when the city opened a free health clinic across the street. It ran STD screenings on the third Thursday of every month, and a lot of the women who used that service needed a drink after getting their results. You could take a booth at the window and watch who crossed the street from the clinic’s mirrored glass doors. Any girl who came out smiling, you could figure she was clear.

If she was crying, well…you just had to judge that against how hot she was. And if you guessed wrong, there was this free clinic where you could get tested and treated right across the street.
