Secret Music

In 1973, in a small town on the Essex coast, a man falls to his death from a builder's scaffold.

Twelve years later, in 1985, the man's son, Lee Boxted, leaves school full of hope for the future and dreams of flying away to a better life overseas.

Now it's 1988. Lee is struggling to hold down a job, his friends are gone and life is dull. Every day feels like Sunday in the damp and deserted seaside town. His dreams of a new life in the sun and his on-off relationship with high school sweetheart, Tracy, are all that add colour to otherwise grey days.

When he hears an unsettling rumour about his dad, Lee starts asking questions. The more he asks, the more he learns. What he learns will change everything. Something has been started, and Lee soon realises that it's going to be down to him to finish it.

Things are about to get a lot less boring.
