E Commerce has many components, Website or App interface, Supply chain (Procurement, Inventory management), Order processing (Pick, Pack), Logistics and Reverse logistics, Payments and Customer relationship management, Analytics.
There are many books explaining technical aspects of building the e commerce websites,
and books on supply chain and books on individual aspects like Analytics and logistics.
But from customer order placing to delivery all these components should work together.
But sadly there are no books covering all these components with ecommerce point of view and business point of view.
This is our first, humble effort to capture essential aspects of e-commerce business. Please see the title of book it is “Building and Scaling E-Commerce Businessâ€, and it is NOT “Building and Scaling E-Commerce websiteâ€. We have not focused on technical aspects of building website, rather its functional and business aspects of website which are tightly coupled with back end supply chain and CRM, anatomy, business aspect of individual components and their integration.
