Description
Working at the FBI hasn’t worked out too well for Agent Tom Blue. After his partner Jack is murdered on the job by a dangerous drug dealer Ernesto Gonzales, the devastated agent wants nothing more than to avenge his partner by killing Gonzales, or at least make sure that he is behind bars for life. However, the FBI needs the killer as an informant. Betrayed and disappointed, Tom resigns from the Bureau and loses contact with all his colleagues, except for one Diane McKenna.
Now Tom Blue has a new job – he is one of the best Private Investigators in Honolulu. His days are spent drinking Mojitos at the Pa’akai bar. The PI business is profitable and definitely doesn’t hurt his chances with the women.
One day, a shady European businessman Claud Shafer calls upon Tom and asks him to follow his wife to see if she is cheating on him. The case is Tom’s most lucrative one to date – he would be a fool to turn it down. Luck seems to be on his side as he spots Shafer’s wife with another man at his favorite bar one fine evening, confirming Shafer’s suspicions. Tom is more than happy to never see the man again after the payday.
However, Tom’s former colleague Diane drops by and tells him that there is a lot more to the story than Tom believes. Turns out, Shafer has been on the FBI’s radar for quite some time. Tom doesn’t care, however – his business with the man is over.
Or so he thought.
A few hours later, Tom sees Shafer’s wife again and things start to spiral out of control very quickly. Whenher mysterious lover is murdered, Tom finds himself pulled right into the middle of a Homeland Security investigation and in way over his head. As the stakes grow higher by the minute, the former FBI agent realizes that this is a lot bigger than a marriage gone south.
Just why did Shafer, one of the richest men in the state, hire an outsider to dig into his private life when he has an army of trained men at his disposal?
Is Tom Blue, PI the perfect type of person Homeland Security needs to solve this case? Or does he have his own agenda? Is his thirst for revenge on Ernesto Gonzales stronger than his moral compass?
Rich with suspense, thrill and charm only found in sunny Hawaii, “Tom Blue: One Fine Evening†packs a cast of memorable characters, witty dialogue and unexpected twists that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very last page!
