The plot of this book is set in an era about 200 years from now. Mullen is a girl who lives in a dystopian world- a society of people who have no emotions. She is unaware of the fact of how these people came into existence. Till some point, she believes in only what she has been taught. But when she meets Scarlouse, her definitions of truth change. She decides on exploring and forming her own opinions about the world she lives in. She is even ready to fight, shall it be necessary. After discovering the dark secrets of her society, she has to make a choice. She has to keep in mind the well- being of everyone.
