"Once you got married to John everything changed, we hardly see you anymore. It's like you have to ask permission to go and have a good time." Nash blurted out loudly across the table and into Christie's direction. Immediately becoming defensive of herself and her marriage Christie began to explain how Nash had it all wrong.
"We just respect each other and enjoy spending time with each other. I can go out whenever I feel like it." Christie responded emphatically. Nash slowly rolled her eyes and then took a sip from her glass. I respected how Christie stood up for her husband and her marriage, it's what I would've done, but everyone at the table knew that Nash was telling the truth.
I slowly began to wonder if that was how my life was going to be, if that was how I would end up? Doubts and worries began to creep into my head. I took a sip of my mimosa and tried to block them out.
"Well we don’t have much time left before this one over here is dragged off and never seen or heard from again." Nash said half playfully as she pointed her thumb in my direction. "Next thing you know you'll be knocked-up for the third time and getting ready to spit out yet another kid."

"How ‘bout we all get together for drinks later at my place and then we could decide what to do for the rest of the night?"
