Scott was born in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. He married his high school sweetheart at 19. Life began to unravel quickly, and in an attempt to put it back together, Scott became a Christian and later a pastor. Scott found himself pursuing many things that were outside the boundaries. He began to see he was portraying one thing in public while having other areas of secret struggle. Through his own poor choices and heart-wrenching losses, Scott became willing to do the hard work of understanding himself.
