Samuel Greene used to be a mountain man. For years he trapped and hunted in regions where no white man had ever stepped a foot. In that time he fought with Indians, but he harbors no hate for them. In fact, he respects them. Now he is an older man living in the fort-like town of Remington on the money he made as a trapper. Remington must be ready at anytime for an attack from the Crow Indians and thus most of the town hates Native Americans.
