📖 Description
James Mercer was a gangster in life, a revenant after death, and he was Timothy Ashe’s friend and mentor in the arts of necromancy.
But Mercer finds his old life will not let him walk away, not even in death, and his soul is summoned out from under Timothy. As Timothy seeks to find, free, and perhaps redeem the soul of his undead friend, his trail leads him to a mysterious island realm of magic.
Timothy was raised to believe in redemption, but he learns that nothing is free. When the price of Mercer’s redemption may include the lives of his family, friends he makes along the way, and perhaps even his own immortal soul, Timothy struggles with his own increasingly unclear moral code.
