This book focuses on writing techniques for success on any Bar Exam in the United States. When I passed the California Bar Exam in February 2015, the passage rate was 39.5%. This indicates that many examinees lack the proper writing skills to pass. Furthermore, California is considered the most difficult bar in the country. As such, the writing skills learned can be applied to other state bars. Moreover, law students can also benefit from the writing skills because the techniques are fundamental to writing in a lawyer-like manner.

This writing shares skills in the following areas: (1) issue spotting; (2) understanding the substantive law; (3) time management during exams; (4) memorization techniques; (5) writing analysis techniques using the IRAC method; (6) MBE strategies; (7) Performance Test techniques; and (8) covers other essential topics.

Since the focus is on writing, it can be used for people taking any bar preparation course. It can also be used by those engaged in a self-study course. It is the goal of the author to take the bar passage rate in California from 39.5% to 90%. The skills shared in this book aids in that goal.
