Testing a New World

A caveman watches his fellow tribals fall into slumber. He isn't wondering why they're sleeping; he's wondering whether the men from the helicopters will let them wake. Testing a New World is a sci-fi adventure that will answer that question. It's written from the perspective of a nearly silent observer who isn't revealed until the second chapter.

The tale opens in a cave. Kish doesn't even know his name until he sees his reflection. As his memory recovers, he sets out with his fellows in a struggle to survive. Tokens of modern technology litter the landscape, but only the most intelligent of the tribals can figure out how to use them. It's all a test to see who will have the ability to survive in a world of unknowns. The test is one without a clear end or purpose – a parallel to life in every sense.
