Cupertino-based Apple has gone from being on life-support in the late 1990's to becoming the largest and arguably most-admired company on the planet today.
The iPhone is a huge part of that story.
When Steve Jobs famously introduced it back in 2007 as "an iPod, a phone, an Internet communicator -- are you getting it?" the iPhone didn't even have video capabilities.
But over the last eight years the iPhone -- with the help of the ecosystem built around it beginning with the App Store -- has evolved into a breathtakingly good video platform, a platform planet5D writer Hugh Brownstone asserts is not only this generation's Leica stills camera, but a more capable filmmaking device than anything Alfred Hitchcock had available to him when he directed his 1955 masterpiece, TO CATCH A THIEF, let alone Steven Spielberg's very first Super 8 camera.
If the Canon EOS 5D Mark II was the DSLR that started the video revolution, the iPhone is the singular device to launch the next video revolution.
Learn what makes the iPhone so good as a video camera, and everything that's happening in the ecosystem it has spawned, from lenses to mics, super slow motion as well as time lapse and hyper lapse and more -- even new technologies just patented which threaten to upend the entire filmmaking industry.
