THE INHERITANCE: A story of a lost family

Our Family owns a part of an island. I grew up there, as my siblings and cousins also did. Before us, my mother and her Brother had their childhood there. Now Our island also belongs to a New generation, That is my children, and the children of my brother and of my cousins. They have also grown up at the island, and they must have got their own memories about the most beautiful Place on earth. But what do they know about the generations before them? What do they know about the inheritance of the island? They might have heard some stories, but it isn't easy to understand it all if you wasn't there at the time.
Now I have been there longer than the most, and it's my turn to pass my story on to the younger generation. So many of my People have died. and I don't want their story to die With me. So this is my contribution, to honor the loved ones who has passed away too early, and to explain our history to the younger generations.
I am so happy With the New generation at the island. They are wonderful and Nice People who seem to live together in Peace and love, just like we did when I was a child.
When my grandma died, everything changed, and it came to a war between the People of the Family. We had about 25 lost years With conflicts between cousins, sieblings and other relatives. Now most of my generation's People and the older ones have gone away; they have died or they have just moved elsewhere. Of the People in this story, only me and my younger cousin are left at the island now.
But a New generation has grown up, and they are just so Nice and kind as my generation and our parents used to be. So lets hope Peace will last this time.
