You Belong to Me

It took time for her to gain form and strength. From a speck of hatred she grew into a human-sized being. It didn't seem unusual to her when she first realized that her legs resembled those of a bird. Nor did it seem strange that her long, black hair was mixed with green strand of algae. The beautiful green dress she had worn when she was killed was reduced to brown-green rags that didn't even cover the full length of her legs.
