artificial intelligence: Part 1 of the Series: are we becoming gods?

Mankind has for a long time sought how to make humans better and perhaps to live forever. Many have researched ways to do that and the book discusses some of them,but synthetic biologists' recent ideas are that perhaps they can offload a person's brain to a mind file somewhere and store it until computer technology catches up with their expectations. They want to integrate humans with machines, making mankind trans-human.and that is said to be the next step and the final step in evolution. Although this sounds foolish to most of us, they are serious and are rapidly moving forward. They are anxious to change man's DNA, change him into something that The Most High God did not create. Will man create a god in his image?
The book is not a technical writing, it offers quotations from technical researchers and seeks to understand those actions in light of Bible prophecy. It looks at terms like the Borg of Star Trek fame to point out that grand ideas begin in the imagination and are often played out in the media long before they become reality. For example, the Buck Rogers series showed us space ships and rockets decades before we ever had them.
