Movements in American Literature (Volume 2): A Collection of Short Stories
Description
All proceeds are donated to Middletown High School in Delaware. The movements in American literature are as rich and diverse as the country from which they originate. They offer a glimpse of the history of the United States as well as the creativity of some of its most celebrated residents. Whether one is studying "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God" as part of a unit centered on America’s theological transformation or "The Tell-Tale Heart" within a unit that is mining the darkness in the human soul, it is abundantly clear that the tapestry of literary thought is among America's greatest treasures.
This second volume of short stories is the work of the dedicated students in AP Language and Composition class at Middletown High School (Delaware). They were given the task of choosing a specific movement and crafting an original short story which mimicked its stylistic elements, themes, or voice. The resulting work is exceptionally impressive.
