An original fantasy-epic packed with thrilling action – and a stirring love story at its heart – that will leave you breathless.
Its allure had been undeniable. Its wrath, however, promised to be eternal.
The brutal war on the Crimson Hills. Fought by brave men, against a horrific enemy.
Powerful kingdoms spread across five continents.
A deceitful demon, with inconceivable energy, who plans to conquer the world.
A hulking powerhouse with a broken heart, who fights with unbridled ferocity, known by all as the Ripper.
The mysterious and eerie spirit of a cruel creature that yearns to live again. Who whispers from the shadows, twisting the world around him.
A Seer who can shape dreams, communicate with spirits, and has visions which promise her true love shall change the world.
A lost, brave soul with a pure heart – who learns that courage is the way.
None of them yet realises the severity of their imminent futures, as a darkness, even older than the universe itself – converges on their world.
Thus begins the Legends of Verra® series.

Excerpt:
We do not wear armour.
“Doing what everyone else does, or expects you to do, will make you invisible. You’ll live and fit in and experience moments of happiness for sure. But you’ll never be fulfilled. We do not wear armour. Be different. Risk it. We are all capable of being different, because we are all different. Ask someone, anyone, and they’ll accept that. But tell them they can be different from the mob, and there’s this little fear that brings them doubt, I call it the instilled-dread. It’s imparted in us all when we’re children, by our parents, or if you don’t have any parents, then someone else along the way. It’s bludgeoned into us so that we can fit in. Our true inner light is eclipsed by the instilled-dread, and sadly, it sometimes never shines bright again. Those are the people who welcome death, because they have grown weary of their mechanical existence. A flower doesn’t need to be taught how to grow, though, so why should you, with your brilliant brains and priceless extremities?â€
“Fear causes us to be entirely too concerned with what it takes for our survival; we discard what we held in our hearts during our youth as irrelevant to that fact. Being wise means that you are able to see that no matter how old you are, or how smart you believe yourself to be, there is something to be learnt from everyone else, even the very young. They are the young flowers, full of life and dancing as they bask in the light. Just being alive is enough for them for now. They don’t need goals until they’re older, as they’re still sifting through their own abilities; categorising their strengths and weaknesses; sharpening their minds with each new experience, and forming unique ideas. Living life with a playful heart.â€
“I think Grand Seer Reá wanted us all to realise that there is nothing bigger than yourself. Realise that. We should make a conscious decision that every challenge should be viewed as an opportunity rather than a hindrance. Never be afraid to fail, because if you apply this to everything you do, it will not be a tragedy, because there is nothing more heroic and inspiring to others than someone who tried their very best. It is our duty to make the world a better place, even in the smallest way, and we do so when we truly express our inner light.â€
