Revenant of Silverthran: Book 5

Two old friends walk back into Katyde Silverthran’s life and are bonded as her protectors for her last year at the mage academy. The two men; Tern Overlind - formerly of Epslin - now a talented young ranger, and Maleager - the grizzled warrior who rescued Katyde as a girl seven years before. The academy insists that senior mages take their last year away from the coddling walls of Celviss and use their talents in the field. Tern convinces Katyde to use her last year and travel with him.

In the rugged dwarven city of Norrock, Micah awakens bruised and battered, but alive. The fear of using her power is amplified by the memory of the havok it created. While there, she also learns more about her parents and the reason why they fled southwards instead of facing Dalefic years ago. After resting in the city, Micah gains the sword of her father, and begins the trek back to Retha’an with the elves, hoping to make it to the Gra’leith pass before the snows of winter fall, blocking access to the elven lands.
