Elizabeth Bennet was enjoying her stay at Hunsford Parsonage with her friend Charlotte Collins and she delighted in her walks around the groves of Rosings. One morning Colonel Fitzwilliam joined her as she walked and, not realising the connection, told Elizabeth of his cousin’s part in separating Mr Bingley from her sister Jane. What if Elizabeth did not recollect herself as she spoke to the Colonel but told him exactly what she thought of Mr Darcy, the man who had ruined her beloved sister’s happiness, would Fitzwilliam Darcy still make that ill-fated proposal or would he have a change of heart and try to win Miss Elizabeth Bennet’s affection.
