After a long period of wars and famines, peace has finally come to the Kingdoms of the Central Lands. Following the defeat of their King, the demons and half-bloods have retreated to the Wastelands, under the leadership of the Queen and the children of their dead King. The Humans and Elves live quietly, attempting to reconstruct what was lost, unaware that the greatest threat that ever hung over them, a very different evil to anything they have ever known, waits patiently for the right moment to make a move. Five young boys, divided by race but united by destiny, must embark on a difficult task.
